Itinerary

0800h: In the morning your guide will meet you and you will visit Ta Prohm, built largely in the late 12th and early 13th centuries and originally called Rajavihara, it is unlike most Angkorian temples and has been left in much the same condition in which it was found.

Next is a visit to Neak Pean which some historians believe that represents Anavatapta, a mythical lake in the Himalayas whose waters are thought to cure all illness. Neak Pean was originally designed for medical purposes and it is one of the many hospitals that Jayavarman VII built. It consists of 4 connected pools which represent Water, Earth, Fire and Wind and it was believed going into the pools would balance the elements in the bather and curing disease.

In the afternoon you will visit the unique interior brick sculptures of Prasat Kravan and the amazing Srah Srang. Srah Srang or the Royal Bath is a large basin measuring 700m by 300m and was excavated by hand during the mid 10th century.
